THE BIG ROCK

  This past weekend just before the prayer meeting ended, a big dog came sniffing, and as this animal climbed the steps to enter the Church building. Its eyes met mine, backing away the dog continued sniffing the grounds to find whatever it had come to retrieve. Watching the dog reminded me of my return to Sunday morning worship services only two weeks ago. Little did I know what awaited me as I stepped out of the bus to assist my daughter. My shoes stepped into a load of what the dog left. It took fifteen minutes to clean the mess off. Frustrated, I said aloud, wait until I see that dog! Two weeks later, praise and worship. I felt a tugging to go outside to the front gate and raise my hand toward the skies. In obedience, I turned to go back into the Church service. However, my attention was on three large dogs. They were lying comfortably near the educational building. Strangely, the moment the dogs spotted me, one of them stood up and barked at me viciously. I picked up a few little
