Oh, what about the hurt, depression, and oppression? Yes, this list can go on and on, but there is good news. These are all challenges, they can make or break you. You can choose to allow your circumstances and situations, even your past and the mistakes that you have made, to control you or: you can use your situation as stepping stones. You have the power within to triumph over every tragedy, to experience joy in sorrow, healing in sickness, and total success when all the odds are against you. God your Father, your Creator has equipped and predestined you for greatness in this life. It is through His Son Jesus Christ that you will receive the blue print for your life. Friendships make life enjoyable and difficult times bearable. It is in times of hardship that friendship is tested and strengthened. We must always be mindful that friends are helpful, but they can not meet our deepest spiritual needs. Leaving God out of our friendships is an indication of how unimportant He really is in our lives. Our relationship with God should be important enough to touch other relationships, especially our closet friendships. We take the people that we encounter for granted from time to time, not realizing that it is God that uses people as instruments to impact our lives in a tangible way. Almost always on a daily basis, we pass the drunkard on the streets, ignoring his or her cries for help. We despise the prostitute, or the woman who dresses in a vulgar manner, and we hardly ever see their hurt or pain, or hear their desperate cries for help. The tiny sparrow whistles through the trees, with out a thought of what to eat! With out a place to rest! Yet several times a day, the tiny sparrow has sufficient food to eat, and protection from predators. The tiny sparrow even finds herself a nest where she may lay her young. In contrast, you sometimes worry about daily provisions and the necessities of life. Jesus responded to these concerns in the book of Matthew 6:33, which says " Therefore take no thought saying, what shall we eat? or what shall we drink? or wherewithal shalt we be clothed? Palestine Texas, a place that I had not been, yet looked forward to going, because it was a missions trip. Focusing on sowing the seed of the word, and winning souls for Jesus Christ. The day finally came, and we were on our way, that is CCI Cross Over Communication International. A Group of about thirty-nine persons all from various Churches. I had gone on several mission trips before and was always excited about going, yet this trip was different. There was a shift, and my focus was pray, pray, pray,from departure time to arrival in Palestine Texas it was pray and even at rest times and relaxation all I could do was pray. Even through the wee hours of the morning I was up praying and making intercessions for others. Little did I know that something was about to happen to me. A team of us from CCI were out witnessing, and sharing the good news of salvation in a neighbourhood . The smolding ashes lay there with the smoke rising. Everything burnt beyond recognition. Those that watched, some broken hearted over what looked like a great loss. Others grinned with great delight, their voices rang out, there is definitely no coming back. They even took measures to put water on the ashes, making the ashes look like a complete mess. These words rang out very profoundly "I have called you by your name, you are mine. You shall do mighty exploits for the GOD THAT YOU SERVE."
