DEEP WATERS

As I sat in a very special Pastoral and Anniversary Church Service this past Sunday.   The Theme captured my attention, A Mighty Fortress and so appropriately, the scripture text was taken from Psalms 46 verse 7.   My heart melted because during my devotional time up from within came the lyrics A Mighty Fortress is Our God!   Abba, Father spoke these words to me, Deep Waters which reminded me of a traumatic experience as a young girl. I had gone out into deep waters with my friends and one of them being mischievous pushed and held me under the deep waters I fought to surface but could not.   My whole life came before me, the deep waters were spinning like a funnel.   Abba, Father interrupted my thoughts with His Word from the book of Isaiah chapter 43 verse 2 NLT Verse (2) When you go through deep waters, I will be with you.   When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.   When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not

Keep Hope Alive

Dear Reader: Wherever you are on your journey it is so important that you remain steadfast and focused during these trying and difficult times.  I encourage you to keep hope alive and know that Abba, Father is with you.  I am praying for you, prayer changes things!

The Sin of Achan

Yesterday: very early in the morning as I sat and opened the Bible:  Abba, Father unfolded Genesis chapter 1 to me.  I could not help but picture the handiwork of God’s Creation and of how the fruit and herb were for food.  Quickly, I marked the chapter and moved on to the Book of Psalms.  However, while reading, Abba, Father was speaking to me and I tried to brush off His Words and could not.  Quietly, rested the Bible and listened attentively.  Abba, Father: said, The Sin of Achan:  He took me to the Book of Joshua chapter 7 and revealed to me that His people have become unfaithful in the sacred things but still continue to partake and minister His Word.  My heart grew heavy as I read of the account: beginning from, verse (1) But the Israelites acted unfaithfully in regard to the devoted things; Achan son of Carmi, the son of Zimri, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of them.  So the Lord's anger burned against Israel. Verse (2) Now Joshua sent men from Jericho

I Am that I AM is Your Backer

While walking in the kitchen last week:   I heard these words, I Am that I Am is your backer: instantly Abba, Father reminded me of the time He summoned me to the foyer of my house.   Vividly, I recalled being so afraid of being in that part of the house near the garage.   However, I knew obedience is key to growing and the fear was not of God.   At exactly 2 a.m.   Through an open vision, a very tall slim man entered my driveway, he appeared to be walking on stilts, he wore a black cloak and was very angry so much so much so that, he stormed past the garage door, went through the front gate and tore open the front door, he bolted through the front room, passed the dining room, went into the kitchen.   Opened the door to the foyer and as he extended his hand to grab me, I Am that I Am, spoke to him, I have been expecting you!   Abba Father reminded me of the call of Moses from the Book of Exodus Chapter 3 (please: Read the entire chapter during your time of leisure) verse (14) And

Have we removed the Landmark? Is a Tsunami Coming?

Recently, while walking to the beach through a track road near the canal.   A horrible odour filled the atmosphere and the sea seemed very disturbed.   Its waters, in a fury, were rushing to overflow the land.   This reminded me of a dream where I was standing at the corner of Hanna Hill in Eight Mile Rock, Grand Bahama called, the “Take me Corner” when suddenly, as I glanced at the main street.   A Tsunami was riding at great speed.   In response, I broke off running toward Hepburn Town but a greater Tsunami had erupted from the Freeport Harbour.   The two Tsunamis met together and there was nowhere to escape.   The entire Western Island was engulfed.   Is it possible that as we dredge and remove the rock from its structure, are taking away what Yahweh has built to protect the land?   Have we removed the landmark?   Is a Tsunami coming? Symbolically in Christendom, Have we removed the structure God has set in place to help us to grow spiritually and are we doing our own thing?

A PRAYING WIFE

A woman you can easily find but a praying wife, She is of a rare kind. She is not easily offended, mending all of your clothes Cooking and serving you faithfully although wondering At times if, you would amend your ways! Then in prayer, she will retreat only to discover that she Too have some ways which need adjustments. The Father gently says to her, you are my bride and every Challenge is to perfect you for the Bridegroom. Look around You, His Coming is imminent! A warmth of the Father’s Love permeated her entire being With empowerment to minister to her husband with a new Attitude! A praying wife perseveres and is not deterred nor derailed By the enemy’s arrows.  In fact, she knows the secret place And dwells in it day and night; lifting up her husband on the Wings of prayer. Yes, a praying wife is from the LORD and blessed is every husband Who has a praying wife! Treasure, love and embrace her often for she is not perfect and may

Repent: The Sword has been drawn in The Church

Two weeks ago while kneeling on my knees on the front bench of the church at early Morning Prayer meeting before I could pray.  A sharp drawn sword appeared.  Instantly, I closed my eyes but the drawn sword glistened in what looked like a red sea.  Jesus, I exclaimed and heard these words, Repent:  The Sword has been drawn in the Church.  Abba, Father took me to the book of Ezekiel chapter 8 verse (7) And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold a hole in the wall.  Verse (8) Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door.  Verse (9) And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here.  Verse (10) So I went in and saw, and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed upon the wall round about.  Verse (11) And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of t

A Portrait of a Father

While shopping for an item at the hardware store: something demanded my attention.  From a distance it looked peculiar, a lad was pushing the shopping cart but his feet did not touch the ground.  Getting closer, discovered the picture that melted my heart.  A father was actually driving the trolley and his young son was getting a ride. My response,     O he is getting a free ride! On the eve of celebrating Father’s Day, the portrait of a father is permanently written on the tables of my heart.  For sometimes, we overlook and apparently forget the significant role of a father in the life of a child and is too often overshadowed by things beyond their control.  While with this father, the special lad, did not allow anyone and nothing to distract him.  His father had him covered from behind and was actually the one steering the shopping trolley.  Joy was engraved all over the lad’s face, he knew his father had him protected.  He played, while his dad paid the cashier.  He stepped outs

The Great Shaking is coming: Can Your Foundation Remain Standing?

See that ye refuse not him that speaketh.   For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven.   Hebrews 12:25. KJV There is a Great Shaking coming:  It is actually upon us and who shall be able to withstand.  Everything that can be shaken will be shaken.  Will you (me too) be able to stand the Great Shaking? Yahweh is doing the shaking.  Those are the words I have heard over and repeatedly in my hearing for the past month but tried so hard to ignore.  The urgency today to sound the alarm is upon me heavily.  Yahweh is going to shake everything that can be shaken.  Yes, The Great Shaking is coming:  Can your Foundation Remain Standing?  The Islands of the Bahamas has been devastated by numerous storms in recent years.  Particularly here on the Island of Grand Bahama: During the last storm something happened.  I heard an alarming cry from the kitchen, it was one of my children. “Mommy

We Spoke No Words

Be blessed, strengthened and encouraged as you read…….Keep Hope Alive! We spoke no words, yet you drew me with your love and held me close. For I lay wounded, broken and discarded, “No hope for you,” some said, others mocked and scorned. We spoke no words but O, I felt your love and the brightness of your presence Radiate my soul causing me to long for you even more! We spoke no words healing my wounded broken spirit. We spoke no words raising me up in your Resurrection power! We spoke no words yet I feel the warmth of your love with No words were spoken, O LORD Your presence is all I need!

You can Make It: Jesus is passing You Way

And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.   Luke Chapter 18 Verse 38. KJV Sitting before the LORD, seeking for a Word of encouragement on this Mothers’ Day.   From the Gospel of Luke chapter 18 came the story of how Jesus of Nazareth passed by and healed a blind man.   Surely each of us can identify with this man’s desperation to get Jesus’ attention.   Let’s pick up the story from verse 35 of Luke chapter 18 “And it came to pass, that as he came nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the wayside begging:” Verse (36) “And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.”   Verse (37) And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.”   Verse (38) “And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.”   Verse (39) “And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.”   Verse (40) “ And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto hi

Have We Sinned?

The marketplace is all but empty:   There are some traces of business operations but for the most part, there is a drought in the atmosphere.   People are hurting and are at a loss for financial gain.   Relationships and friendships are being severed exposing fear and doubt in the true and living God.   Have we sinned and left off from serving Yahweh, the God who has redeemed us?   Have we allowed rebellion against JEHOVAH ELOHIM, the God, who created us to take root in our hearts like Lucifer, son of the morning?   Let’s read the book of Isaiah chapter 14 verse (12 ) “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!   How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!”   Have we sinned in our hearts against God?   Verse (13) “For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north”.   Verse (14) “I will ascend above th

Commanders of the Morning, Gate Keepers, Watchmen on the Wall and all Prayer Intercessors: Mann your Post

Merriam – Webster Learner’s Dictionary Definition of Metaphor:  A word or phrase for one thing that is used to refer to another thing in order to show or suggest that they are similar.  An allegory, parable or an analogy. About a month ago while hanging some clothes on the line when suddenly, I began to pray out loud from the book of Isaiah Chapter 54 verse 17 “ No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.  This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.”  There was an unsettling presence behind me then as I turned around: Its green eyes stared and seemingly said, I cannot stand the sight of you!  I charged defiantly but it would not move so politely, I reached from within to get one of my weapons.  He broke off running and as he reached the two leaved gate, he looked back in wonder and amazement.  It was a big black cat and I did not give

Fighting for the Soul of the Family

We are celebrating Family Day this week at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and the spotlight has been on the Family.  However, families all across the globe seem to be in a crisis but I stopped by to reassure you that the God who ordained The Family from the very beginning, He is divinely intervening on your behalf this very day.  Last evening, while listening as Pastor Paul read aloud his message for the Church’ Sunday Bulletin, I was moved to share it with you.  May his message not only challenge you but also encourage you to continue to forgive, love and pray for your family members especially those that are of the household of Faith.  Be blessed as you read Pastor Paul’s Message. Pastor’s Message: . “FIGHTING FOR THE SOUL OF THE FAMILY “ PLEASE READ GENESIS 2: 15 - 25   Today our nation suffers from a sickness of the soul. I submit that this is so because our families are weak: weak in their knowledge of God, weak in their convictions about God, weak in their experiences

Take back your Home

Last week it seemed that no matter how I tried to dismiss the words Abba, Father spoke to me, He persistently said, take back your home!  This reminded me of nine years ago when I worked outside of the home and while I transitioned to being full time in the home found it very difficult and found myself sleeping a lot.  One mid-morning while sleeping, there stood a man by the door watching me, then suddenly another man appeared with a clipboard in his hand and he began to write.  He then threatened the man standing by the door:  He said, if you interfere with even a strand of hair on this woman’s head, I will annihilate you! I awakened absolutely disturbed because the dream seemed so real, I said to Abba, Father:  I am never ever going to fall asleep during the day anymore.  This occurred years ago and I could no longer dismiss these words, take back your home!  Looking at the many household chores still undone, procrastination slapped me in the face, whap!  Abba, Father startled my

The Levite and His Concubine

In those days there was no King in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.  Judges Chapter 21 Verse 25. KJV. There was a time in Israel, when there was no King and the people did whatever pleased them without seeking God.  Could it be possible that we as a people and nation is swiftly becoming the same way?  While you are pondering that question, let’s read from the book of Judges Chapter 19 beginning verse (1) And it came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel, that there was a certain Levite sojourning on the side of Mount Ephraim, who took to him a concubine out of Bethlehem-Judah.  Verse (2) And his concubine played the whore against him, and went away from him unto her father’s house to Bethlehem-Judah, and was there four whole months.  Verse (3) And her husband arose and went after her, to speak friendly unto her, and to bring her again, having his servant with, and a couple of asses: and she brought him to her father’s house: and
